Heat Rise In India Predicted for next couple of days

National Weather Forecasting center and Indian meteorological department predicts rise in maximum temperature to 2-3 degree in northwest India and 1-2 degree in central India.  Yesterday, heat wave to severe heat wave conditions observed over some parts of Saurashtra & Kutch and heat wave conditions observed at one or two places over Gujarat region, southwest Rajasthan and north Konkan.

The highest recorded temperature in India was 32 °C at Ahmedabad.

Yesterday Light Rain/Thundershowers observed at isolated places over Assam & Meghalaya.Maximum temperatures were markedly above normal (5.1°C or more) at most places over Jammu & Kashmir and West Rajasthan; at many places over Himachal Pradesh and Saurashtra & Kutch; at a few places over Punjab; at isolated places over Gujarat region and Konkan & Goa;appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, West Uttar Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya, East Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra & Kutch, Gujarat and Konkan & Goa; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at a few places over Haryana, Sub­Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim,

Vidarbha, Marathwada, Madhya Maharashtra, West Madhya Pradesh and East Rajasthan; at isolated places over West Uttar Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, East Madhya Pradesh, Coastal Karnataka and Konkan & Goa. They were below normal (­1.6 ° C to ­3.0° C)
at isolated places over Tamilnadu and Gangetic West Bengal. Today, the highest maximum temperature of 42.5° C recorded at Porbandar (
Saurashtra & Kutch) over the country.
